Korean BBQ, Booscala Style: Getting Closer to the Culture Behind K-Beauty
A Korean BBQ team night brought us closer to the culture behind the K-Beauty brands we work with every day.

We spend our days working closely with Korean beauty brands. This time, we stepped away from the screens and gathered around a Korean BBQ grill to experience a little more of the culture behind the brands we work with every day.
Beyond the Products
At Booscala, K-Beauty is part of our everyday work.
We think about the details that shape a brand — the visuals, the packaging, the product story, the customer experience, and everything that helps it connect with shoppers across different markets.
But a brand never exists in isolation. There is always a wider culture behind the way it looks, communicates, and creates experiences.
So for our latest team-building dinner, Korean BBQ felt like a natural choice.
Around the Grill
With the grill right in the middle of the table, dinner quickly became something everyone was part of.
Choosing what to cook, grilling together, sharing side dishes, talking while waiting for the next round — the whole experience had its own rhythm.
It was relaxed, social, and interactive. More importantly, it gave us the chance to spend time together outside the usual work setting while experiencing another small piece of Korean culture firsthand.
And yes, there was a lot of food.

Curiosity Is Part of the Work
Working with K-Beauty brands has made us curious about much more than skincare.
Food, design, beauty, hospitality, visual culture — all of these small details add context to the brands and people we work with.
Experiences like this won't replace research, strategy, or the work we do every day. But they do remind us that understanding a market is also about staying curious about the world around it.
For a team focused entirely on helping K-Beauty brands grow on Amazon, that curiosity matters.
Next Stop: Korea?
For now, Korean BBQ was a pretty great team-building choice.
But judging by the conversations around the table, we may have already decided where the ultimate Booscala team trip needs to be.
Seoul, we're looking at you.
